Big Tiny Dot
Two sisters. Family jewellery business. Jewellery is handmade in Slovakia, using traditional techniques and ethical materials. The brand's products are designed for children and adults. The logotype is a typographic metaphor of a bracelet. The name planted in one line creates an imaginary textile ribbon, the highlighted "o" in the word dot cites metal dots/jewels. If we repeat the name in a line, we create a line. Thus we connect friendships, families, relationships, links and lines. It is possible to create a ribbon, a tape, a pattern. To tie a box, to seal an envelope, to wrap a gift. The simple and clean concept is complemented by geometric shapes and coloured areas giving space for the jewellery itself to stand out. Identity works equally with text and image.
We play with texts. Two playful stamps are stamped on the envelope: 'We are dots, ... that have been found." (Sme bodky, ... ktoré sa našli.). On the paper tape, "love, closeness, bond, tenderness and joy" (láska, blízkosť, puto, neha a radosť) is added to the familiar "Fragile" (Pozor krehké). Each box is printed with a haiku inspired by relationships and nature, just like the jewelry itself.
